Directions to the house

It's 6 days away from the party, and some of you might need some directions, so here you go:

FROM THE NORTH:
Take Route 7 south to Middlebury, then take Route 30 south for 14 miles through the College's campus, then through Cornwall and Whiting. You'll pass the intersection of 73 East (toward Brandon), then you take the next left onto Schoolhouse Road. Go up the hill and take your next right into our driveway - we're # 353, and it's a gray cape set back in a field. There's a sign at our driveway that says "Brown 353".

FROM THE SOUTH:
Take Route 7 north to Brandon then take a left onto 73 west (it's a left at the Baptist church) for 6 miles until you get to a stop sign at the intersection of Route 30. Take a left onto 30 south, then you take the next left onto Schoolhouse Road. Go up the hill and take your next right into our driveway - we're # 353, and it's a gray cape set back in a field. There's a sign at our driveway that says "Brown 353". Alternately, for those coming up 30 north, go through the town of Sudbury - look for the big white church on the right - and go about 2 miles through an "S" turn, and take your next right onto Schoolhouse Road. If you get to the intersection of 73 east, toward Brandon, you've gone too far. Go up the hill on Schoolhouse Road and take your next right into our driveway - we're # 353, and it's a gray cape set back in a field. There's a sign at our driveway that says "Brown 353".

FROM THE EAST:
Take Route 73 west to Brandon then take a right onto 7 north/73 west. Follow 73 west - take a left at the Baptist church to stay on it - for 6 miles until you get to a stop sign at the intersection of Route 30. Take a left onto 30 south, then you take the next left onto Schoolhouse Road. Go up the hill and take your next right into our driveway - we're # 353, and it's a gray cape set back in a field. There's a sign at our driveway that says "Brown 353".

FROM THE WEST:
Take Route 73 east through Orwell, follow 73 until you get to the intersection of Route 30. Take a left onto 30 north and go through the town of Sudbury - look for the big white church on the right - and go about 2 miles through an "S" turn, and take your next right onto Schoolhouse Road. If you get to the intersection of 73 east, toward Brandon, you've gone too far. Go up the hill on Schoolhouse Road and take your next right into our driveway - we're # 353, and it's a gray cape set back in a field. There's a sign at our driveway that says "Brown 353".

As always, call if you get lost. 802-989-0731 is my cell. He'll be out of the house by noon, and I'd like everyone there by 3 pm.

If you have no other options, then bring along your air mattresses, bedding, and a towel and we'll wedge people around the house. We'll have to go easy on the septic tank, but we can make it work - we want to see you to celebrate Garrett's 40th!! I'd recommend that you go and make that reservation soon, Brandon's pretty popular for weddings... let me know how you make out.

Thanks!

Coming soon.....

Please check back for updates to this site OFTEN.

Here's what we know right now:

Garrett's turning 40 on 6/24/09
I'm throwing him a surprise party on 6/27/09, at our house. I think if everyone is at the house by 3:00 that would be good.

It will be a kid-friendly, outdoor party. Bring bug spray, sunblock, sunny, breezy weather, and something for when the day turns a little cool, because I'd love to have a bonfire at night.

We'll serve typical summer fare: hamburgers & hot dogs, salads, juice boxes for the kids, beer & wine (if you desire other alcoholic beverages, please feel free to bring them), and cake. If you would like to bring some food to share, that is always appreciated, but please don't feel obligated.

THIS IS A SURPRISE so please don't mention that you'll be seeing him around his birthday or anything like that. We'll have him out of the house, probably playing golf, while everyone arrives. Please park down at the Sudbury school at the end of our road, and walk up to the house.

Questions? Comments? E-mail me at jennb33 at gmail dot com or give me a call on my cell phone 802 989 0731

REMEMBER. IT'S A SURPRISE! (so if you call and I can't chat, that's why! He's probably sitting right next to me!)
